Where Did It Go? Almost every day at school something disappears! This is a major problem. From a pencil to a homework assignment, things are never in the right place when I need them. I lose workbooks, textbooks, and notebooks. If I do not find things fast, my friends will stop lending me pencils and my grades will go down. It can make me frustrated and want to rip my hair out! I also feel that manacles have been placed on my hands when I am not organized because I feel restrained that I can not find my things. To fix the problem, I am determined to learn why I lose things and how I can prevent them from getting lost.
Part of the reason why I lose things is because I simply forget where I put them, but I can't improve my memory. I would need to find a different solution. Another part might be that I shove handouts in a book instead of a folder so I will not be late for the next class. When I put papers in a book, they sometimes fall out and I do not notice. I need to learn to break that terrible habit and learn to gently place things neatly in a folder.
Here are some possible solutions to improve my organization. Instead of jamming papers in a book, I could get different colored folders for each subject. I would put all my handouts in that one folder and I would keep a notebook for each class's notes. The folders and notebooks would have the same simple design such as a red heart with a black background. That way I could identify what items are for what subject instead of putting labels on them the boring way. Then I would take my folder and the notebook, and place it in an immense binder that has that same design. That binder will just be for that class so all my things will be in one place. That solution will also save me time as I race from class to class.
Another possible solution is that I could also get a homework folder that has three pockets instead of two and label each pocket with a design according to its content. I would keep all my homework in it. One side of the folder would be for the homework I would turn in that day. The design I portray on that pocket could be a picture of a piece of paper that says homework with an arrow pointing to the right signaling handing in homework. The middle pocket of the folder will be for homework I get back, and that could have the same design except for the arrow will be pointing to the left for my returned homework. The remaining pocket will be for returned quizzes and test. That pocket's design would be a picture of a piece of paper with the word test on it. A two pocket folder, wouldn't be as organized because I would have to group my things into only two groups which is less specific. I would bring the three pocket folder with me to every class and add papers to it throughout the day. The three pocket folder is a much a better solution.
Whatever solution I decide to do, I will be well organized and I will no longer lose things. Everyone tells me that organization is the key to success. I will attempt to put the solutions into place I and hope it leads me to the path of success. It may be hard at the beginning, but it will be worth it when I am organized, I know where my things are, and I am no longer cringing because teachers are intimidating me tofined my things.
